Prepare yourself for a great day of spoon carving with just a few simple hand tools.
We'll be starting with a section of green wood and a carving axe. With the axe we'll shape our billet into a spoon blank. From here we'll carve this rough form into our finished spoon with a sloyd knife and a hook knife.
Learn safe and effective techniques in hand tool use which will serve you well on your future spoon carving journey.
The workshop will run 10am-4pm and take place in the workshop/grounds of The Wood Tamer at Wamberal, 15 minutes from Gosford, on the NSW Central Coast.
All materials and tools to use on the day are provided.
Morning tea facilities are available and bring your lunch to eat in the workshop or under a tree.
Places are strictly limited for this one-off workshop event.
Suitable for all skill levels...beginner to those looking to hone their skills.
