Temple Tool Co Timber Framing Pull Saw – Crosscut – 390 mm

This large timber-framing pull saw is designed for cutting heavy stock quickly and accurately. With its long blade and aggressive crosscut teeth, it is well suited to tasks such as cutting beams, trimming large boards and breaking down structural timber.

The 390 mm blade provides excellent reach and cutting efficiency when working with larger material. The coarse tooth pattern is designed to cut cleanly across the grain while still moving quickly through thick stock, making it a practical saw for timber framing, carpentry and outdoor construction projects.

Like traditional Japanese saws, the blade cuts on the pull stroke, which keeps the blade in tension during the cut. This allows the blade to remain thin while still tracking straight, resulting in a narrow kerf and efficient cutting with less effort from the user.

The blade is made from high-quality Japanese steel, offering long edge life and reliable cutting performance in both softwood and hardwood. A hardwood handle made from Japanese Wingnut and wrapped in natural rattan provides a comfortable grip and excellent control during extended work.

Built for heavier woodworking tasks, this saw pairs well with finer joinery saws such as a Dozuki or Ryoba, allowing you to move from rough dimensioning to precise joinery with the appropriate tool.
