SPOON CARVING COURSES
& WORKSHOPS
& WORKSHOPS
Carving spoons from green wood is a relaxing and rewarding pastime. Learn to create your own utensils. Our Courses and Workshops take place on the Central Coast NSW. Private and group classes are available for adults and children. Because workshops are small groups we are happy to customise to your skill level and needs.
Not on the Central Coast? No problem. Click here for a list of other spoon carving courses around the country.
You can join an upcoming group spoon carving class or get your own group together and book a time that suits. This can be arranged at the time of enquiry. All tools and materials are included but can also be purchased on the day if preferred (we've added some suggestions at the bottom of this page).
Good axing skills mean you can produce a blank closer to the finished form that you are after. This course suits those looking to extend their spoon carving skills or just to improve their existing axing skills. Tools and materials are supplied or you may bring your own axe if you prefer.
Keeping your tools keen is an important part of the carving process. Chris can show you the best way to sharpen your sloyds, hook knives and axe. Bring your own tools. Sharpening tools are provided and are offered for sale at a discounted price.
Learn how to take your spoons to the next level with a variety of decoration techniques. Learn to carve a fineal, kolrossing, milk painting, oils and more. Can be tailored to your area of interest and time requirements. All tools and materials provided.
