The MB-102 Multi Base lets users sharpen on the side of Tormek's diamond grinding wheels to create an absolutely flat bevel, a desirable trait for certain tasks. This product is designed with adjustable settings to ensure optimal use with any tool or jig, and users can even rotate the horizontal mount to a vertical position for simple access when honing knives trailing the edge and using knife jigs.

The MB-102 Multi Base consists of two mounts for dynamic positioning of the universal support. This allows for easier sharpening of knives with an "edge trailing" technique (where the edge is parallel to wheel rotation) and for honing using Tormek-compatible jigs. The Multi Base can be used with various jigs for varied sharpening tasks.

Provides a completely flat bevel

When sharpening on the curved part of the wheel, a slightly concave bevel is produced. For certain tools, a flat bevel is desired. Utilizing the flat side of the diamond grinding wheels enables a flat bevel to be achieved. Note that sharpening against the side of the wheel with the MB-102 Multi Base is only recommended for use with diamond grinding wheels; it is not suitable for grindstones as they require truing, which isn't possible on the side.

Fully adjustable to fit your specific tool

The MB-102 Multi Base's adjustable joint allows you to adjust the sharpening position per tool or jig for maximum efficiency. It can be easily mounted to the vertical or horizontal bases of your machine, depending on the tool, jig or comfort.

Works with most Tormek jigs

Orders are shipped 2-4 business days after placement and are sent via Australia Post. You will be supplied with a tracking number once shipped so you can keep track of where your parcel is at.

Please allow 5 business days for delivery and 10 business days for Western Australia, Northern Territory and Tasmania.

Orders placed on a Saturday or Sunday will be processed the following Monday or Tuesday.
