Z-saw Dozuki Hardwood 150 – Japanese Pull Saw

This is the small saw you reach for when the timber gets harder and the work gets finer.

The Zetsaw Dozuki Hardwood 150 is built specifically for dense timbers — oak, maple, walnut, even bamboo — where a standard fine-tooth saw can start to struggle. The tooth geometry is tuned to cut cleanly through tougher fibres, giving you better control and a smoother finish in hardwood.

At 150mm, it’s compact and easy to handle, making it ideal for tight joinery and smaller components. It’s not about speed — it’s about accuracy and control, right down to the line.

Where it shines

  • Dovetails and tenons in hardwood
  • Fine joinery on small components
  • Trimming and fitting parts
  • Detail work where a larger saw feels clumsy

This is a precision saw for deliberate work. Light touch, clean results.

What makes it different

  • Hardwood-specific tooth pattern (21 TPI) for cutting dense timber cleanly
  • Ultra-thin blade (0.3mm) for minimal effort and tight kerf
  • Impulse hardened teeth for long edge life
  • Rigid spine keeps the blade tracking straight and true
  • Replaceable blade — keep the handle, swap when needed

Like all Japanese saws, it cuts on the pull stroke, keeping the blade in tension for better accuracy and control.
