Burnishers

Burnishers are used to smooth down rough fibres and edges on your carving piece.  By applying a small amount of pressure and rubbing the burnisher over your work it compacts the fibres and creates a shiny and smooth finish.  

Smooth river pebbles, antler and many other items can be used as burnishers.  The porcelain burnisher that we carry has the advantage of many different surfaces that can be used so it can get into most spaces and leaves a beautiful finish.
