This HNT Gordon & Co Large Curved Sole Spoke Shave has a 3" radius and is 11.02" long x 0.95" wide x 0.87" high. It weighs 1.1 lbs and features a 1.6mm thick Tool Steel blade, 34mm long and 45mm wide, with a hardness rating of 62-64 on the Rockwell scale.
This tool steel blade is angled at 55 degrees for planing, and when flipped bevel-side-up, it can be used on difficult, twisty wood.
This spoke shave is ideal for refining curves in wood for finishing projects. Once you've become proficient with it, you can use this tool to plane both the inside and outside of complex curved surfaces with one pass.
